The Challenge


The client consists of several highly successful UK food and drink businesses with international reach. Although they operate independently, the group saw an opportunity to implement a consistent, modular and stepped Sales Academy to allow them to attract, retain and develop the best sales professionals in the industry.

The requirement ranged from entry level ‘core’ skills through to standard and advanced topics for all those directly or partly involved in sales.

The Approach


Sellex was selected by the client to run the Sales Academy, and has extended and updated its modules in the 4 years that it has been operational.

The full package includes an online portal provided by Sellex for all delegates and their line managers to manage their engagement and access the course materials, participation in a 1 or 2 day workshop led by a Sellex consultant, course notes and a quiz to confirm the learning. It also includes the use of an App to access the key content and principles.

The Outcome


The Sales Academy has now been extended from 9 up to 12 different modules, and Sellex continues to work closely with the client to identify future needs and module upgrades.

To date, we have delivered 90 workshops to over 250 delegates across 7 business units.

The feedback scores for the academy are consistently over 90%, indicating training and development is being positively received throughout the business.
